Working to pay it forward by donating back to the communities of Maine.
Born in Vietnam, Truc immigrated to the United States as a child. He and his family were helped by many in the community, and now Truc wants to pay it forward. With support from donors, Truc will be able to give back to every community he visits during his Trucking Across Maine Adventure, which will take place August 1st - August 7th.

My Motivation for Trucking Across Maine – Truc Huynh
For a nine-year-old kid from Vietnam, Maine was literally a world away from everything I knew. My family and I showed up here in November 1989 with nothing in our possession except a few suitcases of our personal belongings and a lot of hope. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt, with no idea what to expect. But from that day on, so many Mainers have helped my family and me. And I’ve never forgotten that. For my entire adult life, I’ve worked to pay it forward. Now, I’m asking for your help to make a difference in people’s lives. With your support, I’ll be able to donate $1,000 back to each community I visit during my “Trucking Across Maine” adventure.
Trucking Across Maine will be a biking journey that will take me from Madawaska to Kittery. It’s my effort to showcase and support the communities and people that make Maine such a wonderful place to live, work, and to raise a family. By exploring the people, history, food, and culture of rural Maine as I bike through the state, I hope to discover stories, break down stereotypes and help people in need. I hope you can help make a difference for communities across Maine with me!
